Exxy från klanen clever idiot black edition har intervjuat supermedicen/taktikern Psunfragga från Crack Clan angående deras uppflyttning till Div 2.

Här är hela intervjun:

Exxy: Thank you for taking time to give this interview. For those who might not have heard about you, do you mind introducing yourself?

Psunfragga: I’m currently clan leader of a team recently formed under the MGO Crack Clan, where we have been recently promoted to division 2. My main class has always been medic and I am currently the caller for my team. I’ve played in the past on roster with FakkelBrigade 2, however I have spent a lot of time playing as a merc for many well known teams during season 5/6. Outside of my team games, I’m a mentor for those who want to improve their game individually or as a team.

Exxy: The promotion to Division 2 in ETF2L was offered after your accomplishments in the recent cups hosted on E-sports Heaven, where you managed to beat the newly folded team Rockit who was playing at a Division 1 level last year, correct?

Psunfragga: I believe so, yeah. The promotions that occur are done under discussion with the league admins. We were approached by them and once the plans were outlined to us, it was discussed as a team and we took on the great opportunity.

Exxy: Even though this promotion happened, you played your first game of the season in ETF2L in Division 3 against the established finnish team vTroopers and managed to claim a quite one-sided victory. Do you think this was a even further proof to people that you have the capacity to play on a higher level than Division 3?

Psunfragga: I’m sure it influenced opinions as vTroopers were predicted as the firm favourites to win our division and for us to be the first team to fold. This week showed our team that we have the potential to succeed beyond our expectations and I hope that with recent events, it will be the boost in motivation needed to become a consistent and stable team.

There are always doubts casted with new teams, especially as we have picked up a two unknown scouts. Our team hopes to continue our steady improvement in the future.

Exxy: While we are on the subject of your roster. As you mentioned you are currently playing with two scouts that for most people come from an unknown past with Rocky coming straight out of Nicey-tf2 in Division 5 and Tom T@ilor coming, seemingly, from nowhere. But on your roster we can see two recognizeable names that seems to be inactive in your current roster: Jonni (famous from Fakkelbrigade) and FF63 (from Resistansen!), how come these players are not active in your current roster?

Psunfragga: I’m sure many have read the recent news post of Jonni stepping down from ETF2L admin duties due to real life events – it is for the same reason that he is currently inactive on our roster.

As for FF63 The Naked, he is still studying for schoolwork which means that he cannot guarantee every nights activity as we have agreed upon. FF63 is such a loveable person and we never want to let him leave us so we’ve tied him to our roster – you’ll see him playing on Mondays and Thursdays though!

Exxy: To get back to your scouts. How do you think their development has been, seeing as they are coming from the lower parts of ETF2L?

Psunfragga: The German Tom T@ilor has been playing with me for over a year, fresh from public play with great aim and lots of potential. At first he was playing medic, however when the opportunity of Crack Clan presented itself I approached him with the position of scout in good faith that he has the potential to be a hard hitting player within the team. With the time as medic under his belt and hopes to improve, it is already clear to us that he has improved week to week in our team and the consistency will only increase with harder opponents.

As for Serbian Rocky, he has always had good aim and was looking for a break out of the lower tiers of competitive TF2. Once a place opened up where a loyal scout was needed, there was no hesitation to give him the opportunity to play at a higher level in good faith. Both Tom and Rocky have played with each other for a while so there is some natural team play in place already – together they will improve and I hope they become will a formidable pair!

Exxy: As for your new division in ETF2L, do you see any clans as a particular threat, or are you confident that you can keep your momentum rolling and have a chance for a even higher promotion at the seasons end?

Psunfragga: It’s difficult to say to be honest. Having been promoted for less than 24 hours, I haven’t assessed the playing field yet as I originally had done with division 3. There is no doubt that there will be strong challenges ahead of us with long standing teams, but we will embrace the opportunity and try our hardest to improve our game. At a glance, we have friends in teams within division 2 to help us along the way with practising so we hope to make an impact.

Exxy:  Looking at the fact that you’re playing under the Crack Clan banner, an organisation that has been well recognized for its high level of competitive TF2 in europe, does it add on to any sort of pressure to perform at a higher level than people expect you to be at?

Psunfragga: It is well known that Crack Clan and PwR were originally the same organisation. When PwR formed, they took on the well known Finnish TF2 squad that contained Moose, thus leaving Crack Clan with their second team and community team. In a way, this has eased a lot of pressure from us to be compared within the name as its quite clear we’re a completely different team.

At the same time as a team we know that Crack Clan are capable of supporting high level players and thus there is a benchmark for us to aim towards. We are really thankful for the friendly atmosphere and warm reception by Crack clan.

Exxy: Earlier in the interview you mentioned that you’ve played with well known teams, among those are some higher level teams. Has the experiences with the higher level teams, or any teams for that matter, helped Crack Clan and its newer members out?

Psunfragga: Definitely. Having seen the game played at different levels and the many dramas that can occur, it has given better insight to what is needed to play  in a nice environment and how to handle situations. TF2 is my first game, I was and still am determined to put in a lot of effort learning to continually improve how its played and as leader, a lot is influenced into my team. Experience has shown me exactly what I want from comms from listening to top teams play to how to handle those who are trying to improve their individual skill.

Mentoring players and teams gives me experience to help our newer members make the adjustments to higher level of play – a helping hand. It is then up to them to step up and improve, something which I am continually trying my best to do as well. It goes without saying that I am really grateful to those who put up with my questions when I began picking up the heal gun – they know who they are.

Exxy: The latest match we could see you play as an official match would be the ESH-ASRock tournament where you faced off against TLR (former r@ts). You took a quite hard 5-0 blow during that match. Do you see that as a reason to improve greatly in some parts of the team, or was it a minor setback in a fast-paced development of the team?

Psunfragga: We were not playing with our main line up, not practised the map due to other league commitments and were already content in our placing for ESH. These factors contributed to such a steam roll game and it is already something that we have highlighted to ourselves. There is always room for improvement and I’ve already reviewed that game to reassess our weaker areas in order to make it a minor setback for future games. TLR are a strong team and they played well together – they deserved that win. In future, we aim to make a harder game for them!

Exxy: Dream team for TF2 as it is right now?

Psunfragga: Haha, it depends if I was playing or not! Zerox and Predz for scouts, Haunter and Haza for soldiers, Byte or Bash as demo and if possible Torden as medic! We need a 7v7 league with 2 medic limits to fulfil my dream.

Exxy: Do you prefer Kritz-mayhem or Uber-calmness?

Psunfragga: It depends on the situation, TF2 is a dynamic game. If I can trust my team and situation, I’m very comfortable with kritz mayhem – my demoman SANTA loves it. The uber calmness is what’s needed to win the games at times though! I would love to see more medics adopting the use of Kritz in games.

Exxy: A drunken night out, or A drunken night on public with gamerfriends?

Psunfragga: Time and a place! I’m not hugely keen on drunkenness in general to be honest. A night out is always a great opportunity to spend time with people you see on a daily basis and study with to catch up on gossip. Sometimes when its pouring with rain outside (Thank you English weather) you just don’t want to leave your blanket and stay in to yell ”STAY BREEZY TEAM” when there’s a scout back capping you.

Exxy: Swedes, Norwegians, Finns, or Danes?

Psunfragga: Oh gosh, that’s not fair! Swedes are just awesomely friendly (and because my friend An Orange loves them), Norwegians because they seem like such party animals, Finns for their language looking so hard and great taste in music – there are some interesting Finnish people I’ve come to know through TF2, Danes make some good beer.

OG tackar Exxy för den exklusiva intervjun.
